American Heart Association Classes

My Health Studio is an American Heart Association Training Center teaching in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Learning CPR today is the single most important thing you can do today to save a life tomorrow. Simply put…Learn and Live!!.
The BLS Instructors associated and aligned with My Health Studio Training Center are independent Instructors with administrative oversight provided by the training center. They are not employed by the training center. Individual instructors are responsible for creating their own class schedules and availability.
Below you will find a summary of the courses offered.

Our Heartsaver® Courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. These courses are also designed to meet OSHA requirements. For many of our courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for two years.
Heartsaver™ CPR/AED – For the layperson this training includes Adult, Child, and Infant education for CPR, AED and choking. Approx. 3 hours.
Heartsaver™ First Aid – Learn how to treat injuries and sudden emergencies. Approx. 3.5 hours.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers – The Professional Level CPR certification. This is required for all EMTs and Paramedics as well as most Nurses and clinical care specialties. Approx. 4 hours.
eLearning – Depending on the course content, eLearning courses includes three parts. Part 1 is the online portion that can be completed at work, home, or wherever you have Internet access. Parts 2 and 3 include a hands-on skills practice and testing session conducted in-person with an American Heart Association Instructor or Heartsaver® Skills Evaluator™.

It’s not just about earthquakes. There are many possible disruptions to our lives and anything can happen at any time. Learn how to plan for you and your family including fitness, communications, supplies and the psychology of disaster. Additional topics include what to do with your supplies and how to customize evacuation packs for every family member.
