If you hate exercise but love music and dancing, then you’ll love our classes!  We incorporate just the right amount of laughter and fun with movement designed to burn calories and tone every muscle.  Since we’ve licensed the right to play music by original artists, you’ll hear songs you know and recognize.  We even take your requests for our playlists!  We add, modify and delete classes based on the input of our members.  Listed below are just some of our class offerings.  For this week’s classes, please see our EVENT/CLASS CALENDER.

Just Move 4 Life!®

Do run-of-the-mill exercise classes bore you?  If so, get ready for some new moves and music added to this already fun class. Move to music from the 50′s to the present.** This is a class for beginners and beyond. This session combines elements of “Old School Hi-Lo” (the Grapevine is back) with anything else Esta can come up with – everything from dance to throwing sand balls!Whatever the movement, this class is always full of fun and laughs.  Instructions are given for low, medium and high impact. Guaranteed to make you laugh and sweat!


JUST JUMP 4 LIFE(TAKING YOUR WORKOUT TO NEW HEIGHTS!)

(A MINI-TRAMPOLINE CLASS FOR BEGINNERS AND BEYOND)

Don’t let the term “trampoline” scare you away! Gain the incredible benefits mini-trampoline jumping may offer:

Zumba® (Ditch the Workout. Join the Party!)

If you have never taken Zumba® and love to move, build muscle, dance and burn calories, this is the class for you! Zumba’s® hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The workout begins with simple steps. As the class warms up, the music pulls you in… whether or not you know the steps, the music sweeps you into the Zumba® party atmosphere. This class burns calories like crazy! Zumba® participants achieve long-term benefits while experiencing exhilarating movements that inspire and uplift. Prepare to get hooked on this dynamic and effective fitness program after your first class.


Bellydance Tribal Fusion – Veil Class

Want beautiful arms?  Bellydance is beautiful and a full-bodied form of exercise.  While trimming the waist and strengthening the abdominals, gluts and thighs, it also tones hips and arms.  This class focuses on proper technique, strong posture, blending simple and complex movements together in short, learnable combinations so that you can dance while you get an amazing workout!  Veil work incorporates yard veils that add an elegance to the dance and help develop strength, stamina and flexibility while toning the shoulders and upper arms.  A limited number of veils will be available to borrow during class on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Both beginning and advanced students are welcome!


Back to the Basics — Full Body Movement and Toning Class

This class is awesome for all class levels and accommodates all abilities. A combination of movements is sure to awaken all muscle groups, increase flexibility and body awareness. The session starts out with an energizing warm-up and basic/functional muscle toning moves that will increase your heart rate and raise your metabolism. The class ends with a wonderful stretch, all while having the level of fun that MHS is known for!


Beginning Adult Tap Dance

It’s not too late for first-time dancers to join us. If you have a sense of rhythm and want to burn calories while having a great time, check out this class! You can try it one time for free to see if you think it’s for you. After your one free session, here’s how it works: If you pre-pay for all eight sessions, the cost is $56. (That’s only $7 per session!) Otherwise, you can pay the MHS $10 walk-in price weekly, but you must commit to coming to as many sessions as possible so you can keep up with the class. We hope to see you there! If you don’t have tap shoes, you may test the class wearing leather-sole shoes or in your stocking feet. (rubber soles won’t work.) You can really burn some calories tapping!


TRX Fit Camp

This class is designed to build total body strength and muscular endurance—the essential components of any good workout plan and the foundation for building a safe fitness routine. The instructor will add repetitions and challenges throughout the process. This format builds muscle using your own body weight. You will see results and shape up fast with our Cardio Circuit, a super-charged combo of strength and cardio training. Our unique interval program joins TRX® Suspension Training® with the benefits of cardio fat burning. You can boost metabolism, improve heart and lungs, and tone up fast.


A Relaxing and Flexibility Producing Yoga Experience

If your physician or physical therapist has recommended yoga or if you’ve always assumed that yoga was just for those whose bodies were flexible enough to form the shape of a pretzel, this is the class for you! In order to attain healthy muscles and enhance flexibility, there must be a balance between length and strength.


Beginning Ballroom Dance

The class is held on Friday evenings from 6:00-7:00 P.M.  This is a six-session series and the cost is only be $70 per person for all six sessions (prepaid)!  That’s only $11 and change per person/per session!  Please submit pre-payment at the studio (cash/check/mastercard or visa accepted).  Couples may also walk in for $15 per person per class.  The class will be taught by Janet Snyder of “Dance Ten.”  Janet Snyder is a Certified Ballroom Dance instructor and has taught dance to a wide variety of people.  She has been dancing for many years and is passionate about sharing her love of Ballroom and Latin dancing with anyone willing to learn.  Her mission is for each and every person to be able to dance at any function he/she attends.


Mix It Up/Aerobics Combo

Mix it up with a class that gives you a little bit of everything!  This class integrates segments of aerobic conditioning, strength training, cardio kickboxing and core development.  Easy to follow and guaranteed to challenge every fitness level!  You won’t be bored; exercises are modified each week depending on attendees.  Guaranteed to burn calories, strengthen and tone.

Drums Alive!

An exciting new program that combines traditional aerobic movements with the powerful beat and rhythm of the drums. This is a workout for the entire body, mind and spirit! Feel and experience the pulsating rhythms, dynamic movements and powerful percussions of this new high-energy dance and rhythm program.
